A bit about me and this project
Editions is French for "publishing house", yes?
Right. Éditions Sarya is a small publishing house based in Luxembourg, Europe. It was founded in early 2022 by, well, me. I'm an author, translator, philosopher, science buff, heavy metal fan, language enthusiast, cover designer, audio book narrator and probably some five or ten things more which are not the least bit interesting to the world at large. So, enough of that. How about Sarya, does that actually mean anything?
Sarya - pronounced with a soft z in the beginning and stressed on the final a - is the Russian word for dawn. And for dusk. For both, actually. It denotes the twilight hour when the sun is a soft and promising memory, with the dark sky pink at its edges and a multitude of stars on high. A moment of endless possibilities, dreams and hopes. A time when renewal seems not only possible, but inevitable. And whatever forces win - day or night - we know that only a few hours later, eons of a single moment, we will be here to do it all over again. If that thought doesn't give you wings, I don't know what will.

Do you have a programme or some sort of philosophy? Every publishing house seems to have those...
Well, they say that if you want something done well, do it yourself. And for once "they" are not wrong. Like many artists, I have a very precise vision of what the final product should look like. The words, the rhythm of the sentences, the layout, fonts, illustrations, title and cover design - I love to spend hours on each and every detail. What if an editor chooses to destroy any or all of these just so that my book might - hopefully (but most probably not) - be a better sell? That won't do. So I decided to do it myself and will only have myself to blame.

Then add a juicy picture
A sexy, naked lad

It's easy to be had
Just twist the general message
And use the latest fad

The uniqueness of your work is
The only thing you've sold
Does that mean you're only publishing your own books?
